San Francisco, Chinatown |

"I used to love going back to Chinatown. We would walk through the streets in the evening, listening to the bustling streets come alive. Just smelling the smells, the occasional hanker for hawker fare, simply loving the spirit of the place. Be it a festive season or otherwise, Chinatown just has a means of capturing my heart with her warm and sensuous flavours. I am almost afraid to go back to Chinatown now because I understand that the sheen wears off with age. I know it would be a rich experience but I'm wary of replacing what memories I have." - an excerpt from the article, Chinatown, San Francisco by Michelle Chew |
